Greatwide Logistics Services has announced that Tyler Ellison will take over as group president, responsible for transportation management and corporate sales. He will be responsible for all transportation management sales offices in the U.S. and Canada as well as the corporate sales and sales support team.

Greatwide is a third-party logistics service provider.

“Greatwide has cultivated more than 40,000 carrier relationships over the years serving more than 2,000 customers, so having a single leader for both brokerage and sales makes sense and is a natural overlap for our business,” said Leo Suggs, chairman of the board and CEO. “His expertise in managed transportation services will also help to accelerate our focus on growth of combined supply chain solutions that fit with our unique strengths”

Ellison joins Greatwide after serving as president of Con-way Mutlimodal for the past two years. He has also worked for Schneider National.

“With his vast knowledge in the development and execution of successful logistics offerings and demonstrated leadership, Tyler will be a tremendous asset for the company and our customers,” said Suggs. “He has not only achieved superior, concrete results for some of the biggest names in the transportation industry, but he has also done so during challenging economic times and times of constrained capacity. We welcome him to the team.”
