The Webb Severe Duty business unit of Marmon Highway Technologies has named Ken Kelley president. Kelley will be responsible for the group’s transit/coach market and introduction of new Vortex and friction couple technologies to other severe-duty markets, according to Marmon.
Kelly brings over 24 years of experience in commercial vehicle sales, marketing, and engineering. Kelley started his career with Webb Wheel in 1992, most recently serving as vice president of business development for Marmon’s Brake and Wheel Ends Group.
“Ken has shown through his background and leadership in the industry a full understanding of what it takes to meet market and business demands” said Glenn Chambers, Marmon Highway Technologies Group president. “We feel confident that he will help us reach our goals for the Severe Duty business.”
Previously called Webb Transit, the group’s name was recently changed to Webb Severe Duty to reflect an expanded product offering, according to Marmon. The company added that Webb Severe Duty “will continue to serve and grow within the transit/coach industry but will also focus on markets such as refuse, fire, construction, school bus and military.”
