FedEx Freight Corp., the LTL arm of express parcel carrier FedEx Corp., is getting a new president as of Dec. 1 st. William J. Logue will take over as president of FedEx Freight, succeeding the carrier’s current president & CEO, Douglas G. Duncan, who is retiring effective Feb. 28, 2010.
Logue is stepping up into president’s chair at FedEx Freight early to “facilitate a smooth transition” the company said. Plans call for giving Logue the responsibilities of CEO next year when Duncan officially retires.
Logue joined FedEx Express in 1989 through the Flying Tiger acquisition and currently serves as executive vp & COO for FedEx Express-United States, responsible for express air operations, air ground and freight services.
