Love’s Travel Stops announced time-saving upgrades and new features to its Love’s Connect mobile application for iPhone, Android and Blackberry smartphones that provide professional drivers nationwide roadside assistance and more at the touch of a button, according to a company announcement.

The enhanced Love’s Connect mobile app provides professional truck drivers with a button to instantly contact Love’s nationwide dispatch service for roadside assistance if they run into problems on the road. Bulk DEF pricing has been added to the fuel-pricing page for each location, and the total number of parking spots at each Love’s location has also been added to each store page.

“Our customers let us know which features they want to see on the Love's Connect app, and we listen,” said Dave Frankenfield, director of marketing for Love’s. “Our roadside assistance team is ready to roll when drivers contact us instantly through the app. Parking is always top of mind for professional truck drivers as well as convenient, low-priced bulk DEF at the pump. We’ve also made our Love’s location search quicker with this upgrade. We are pleased to provide these upgrades and look forward to continuing the close relationship with our customers.”

The free Love’s Connect mobile app debuted in June 2011. In addition to the enhancements, the app features a Love’s locator map with real-time updated fuel prices, store amenities, restaurant offerings, and weekly deal alerts sent directly to the user’s phone.

Love’s also opened a new travel plaza in Kankakee, Ill., off Interstate 57 at exit 308. The plaza has an Arby’s restaurant and 90 truck spaces and also features diesel exhaust fluid dispensers at the diesel islands, CAT scales, five showers and a game room. Open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, a Love’s Truck Tire Care center is also on the site.

Drivers who make purchases at new the travel plaza through Jan. 8 will receive double points on store cards, Love’s said.
