Fusion Sleep, a provider of transportation sleep medicine services, has announced that Chris Munro has joined its Transportation Business Advisory Board. Munro recently served as private equity managing director/operating partner of Fenway Partners.

Prior to that, Munro served as senior vice president for strategy and development for the Exel Logistics business. He holds a masters degree in economics from the University of Glasgow and an executive MBA from the London Business School. He also maintains strong relationships with professional investment, logistics and leadership organizations and has been a board member for companies and organizations, including RoadLink, Fastfrate in Canada and the Open Road Foundation, as well as others.

“We are extremely honored to have Chris join our Transportation Business Advisory Board,” said Sigurjon Kristjansson, CEO of Fusion Sleep. “Fusion Sleep is dedicated to serving the transportation industry with solutions that provide accountable medical benefits for their employees while significantly improving the financial results of the company. Chris has volumes of experience and insight into the logistics as well as growth and transformation of transportation, logistics and service-based companies from both an operating and financial perspective.”

According to Munro, he joined the Transportation Advisory Board of Fusion Sleep because he believes that an effective fatigue management program needs to be a top priority for every transportation executive. “This is a matter of professional and moral responsibility. We will always have accidents in this industry, but we need to start the solution process with a zero-tolerance mindset. Our unique programs can help save people’s lives,” he said. “At the same time, healthcare costs are rising for individuals and companies. Treating sleep disorders tackles these costs head-on and reduces risks to worker health and company assets.”
