Adrian Steel will offer a range of shelving, ladder racks and other vocational items specifically developed for the new 2012 Nissan NV commercial van under a new partnership agreement announced by Nissan Commercial Vehicles.

Scheduled to go into production in Canton, MS, in early 2011, the Nissan NV was designed from the ground up for commercial applications and is Nissan’s first entry into the North American commercial vehicle market.

The van’s design includes a number of features meant to accommodate equipment upfitters like Adrian, including reinforced mounting brackets on the roof for ladder racks, pre-wiring for access to the electrical system, and reinforced mounting points for installation of shelves and racks.

“We designed the Nissan NV to reinvent the commercial van segment,” said Joe Castelli, vp of Nissan Commercial Vehicles. “This partnership with Adrian Steel will help our customers – such as electricians, HVAC contractors, plumbers and builders – get the most out of their vehicle.”

The new van will be sold and supported by a dedicated commercial vehicle dealership network drawn from existing Nissan North America dealers, according to the company.
