Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) has opened a new service center in Madison, WI. The company expects to hire 12 employees for the facility.
ODFL has four other facilities in Wisconsin and 214 nationwide. The new center is part of nearly $120 million the company is spending this year in real estate purchases and expansion projects.
“Over the past few years, we have seen considerable growth in the Madison market thanks to the city’s proximity to key manufacturing areas in the Midwest,” said Michael Quillman, service center manager at the Old Dominion Madison Service Center. “The addition of a new service center allows us to now provide direct service to customers in the city and enhance service offerings to our network of customers in the Midwest.”
The facility includes 24 doors and will open with 16 employees. It will serve more than 30 Wisconsin cities.
