To meet growing demand in its dedicated and bulk tanker divisions, Schneider National is looking to hire 300 professional truck drivers immediately. The drivers will be based in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

Schneider said that an energy industry business boom in the area is the reason for the hiring spree.

“It is a great time to be in trucking and the energy business,” said Mike Hinz, Schneider vice president. “We are excited to grow this part of our business and excited about the excellent career opportunities we'll be providing local residents. Schneider is one of the strongest, most stable trucking companies in North America, and our company is built on the service and professionalism our drivers exhibit on every load, every day.”

Drivers, who will make between $40,800 and $60,500 per year based on experience and account, will haul either dry hopper tankers to deliver products into or liquid tanks hauling condensate out of oil extraction areas.

Most positions will provide daily home time, Schneider said.

Experienced drivers and recent truck driving school graduates (tuition reimbursement is available) with a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License are eligible. Tanker and Haz Mat endorsements are required.

In addition to these positions, Schneider is hiring company drivers and leasing owner-operators in its regional, over the road and intermodal fleets.
