Jason Struthers has been appointed president of Kohler Power Systems, a maker of auxiliary power units and generators, according to parent Kohler Co. He replaces Otto Kopietzki, a 40-year veteran of the power-generation industry, who will serve as the groups president emeritus throughout 2010.
Struthers will be responsible for Kohler Power Systems operations in North America and Asia, as well as sales and service in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to joining Kohler, Struthers served as the president of Viking Pump for three years and in early 2009 added IDEX AODD to his responsibility. He also spent 13 years with Parker-Hannifin Corp., beginning in its electromechanical division and progressing through various assignments in engineering, sales and marketing prior to becoming general manager of the company’s Actuator Division.
“Jason brings to Kohler Power Systems a proven track record of driving efficiencies, growth and profitability from the global businesses that were under his supervision,” said Dick Fotsch, Kohler Global Power Group president. “By combining Jason’s progressive approach to management with Otto Kopietzki’s extraordinary power systems experience and deep relationships with Kohler’s customers and suppliers, this transition should be seamless for Kohler Power Systems and the many markets it serves.”
