The conference will be held June 5-7, 2011 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, CA.

Among the best practices to be discussed are ROI-driven sales and marketing strategies, media relations, communications, technology support, sales productivity, lead generation, sales and marketing collaboration.

Author and professional speaker Bill Butterworth will deliver the opening keynote address entitled, “Are Your Marketing & Sales Teams on the Same Page?”

Also at the conference, winners of the 59th Annual Compass Awards will be recognized and the organization will hand outs its Transportation Sales Executive of the Year and Marketing Executive of the Year awards.

“Being good marketers, we listened to our membership and are providing a forum that encourages marketing, sales, and communications professionals to work together much more effectively,” said Dick Metzler, president. “We will continue to focus on knowledge, connections, recognition and solutions as our main reason for being, however, there will be a deeper focus than ever before on the power of integrating all commercial activities. This is just the beginning of additional value creation for our members. Our emphasis to date has largely been on one of the P’s of marketing – promotion. We plan to add the other 3 P’s (product, price and place) as part of what we do in the future.”
