Jerry Charron, a driver for Con-way Freight out of Danville, VT, used his big rig to help collect and haul food for needy families ahead of this year's Thanksgiving holiday. Charron parked a trailer from Con-way Freight in front of his local Elks Club throughout October, which in turn held events every weekend aimed at collecting food donations. Local high schools and hospitals also participated, filling the trailer with donations, which Charron then delivered to a local food bank for distribution.

Charron, who also serves as an America's Road Team Captain, said he strongly believes in giving back during the holidays. “This food drive really is a great way to give back to the community, and also show how essential trucking is to delivering everything we need,” he said.
