Volvo Trucks reaches tentative agreement with UAW

Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA) has announced that the truck OEM and the United Auto Workers have reached a tentative agreement on the terms of a new five-year contract that would cover approximately 1,300 UAW members at VTNA’s New River Valley, VA, manufacturing plant

Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA) has announced that the truck OEM and the United Auto Workers have reached a tentative agreement on the terms of a new five-year contract that would cover approximately 1,300 UAW members at VTNA’s New River Valley, VA, manufacturing plant.

According to VTNA, further comment about the proposed agreement is being withheld pending ratification by UAW Local #2069. Ratification meetings are being scheduled by the UAW.

VTNA is a unit of Sweden’s Volvo Group, which employs more than 90,000 people, has production facilities in 19 countries and sells products in more than 180 global markets.
