A new program from PHH Arval helps trucks stay in compliance with U.S. federal safety regulations, offering services to help companies keep their trucks legally and safely on the road. PHH’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulatory and Compliance service targets any fleet with vehicles over 10,000 lbs. gross or combined weight.

Services offered included consultation, audit support, driver qualification file management, driver log audit service, drug and alcohol management program, DOT annual inspection scheduling, maintenance records management, consolidated billing and management of DOT-reportable accidents, PHH Arval said.

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), more than 23% of vehicles inspected in 2006 were deemed out-of-compliance, which cost companies millions of dollars in fines.
