Chris Painter has been named CEO of Erlanger, KY-based Transfreight, a group of five North American transportation and logistics companies in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Painter succeeds Masao Hara, who is moving up to the chairman’s position. Founded in 1988, Transfreight is the third-party logistics subsidiary of Japan’s Mitsui & Co., Ltd. a trading, investment, and service companies.
Since he joined Transfreight in 1997, Painter has held several positions in both its operational and administrative groups – most recently as chief development officer.
Also, Areki “Alex” Tsujita is moving over to the new position of chief compliance officer (CCO), heading Transfreight’s corporate governance and compliance functions based out of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
