Transplace has announced the launch of Transplace Consulting, which the company said will offer logistics engineering analysis, design and consulting services to its customers that will focus on ways to improve the supply chain, the company said.
According to the company, Transplace Consulting will provide customers with operations support, industry knowledge, Scenario Pro Technology (SPT) consulting, and sales and business development information.
“Transplace Consulting drives customer value in several unique ways,” said Matthew Harding, vp of consulting for Transplace. “Transplace Consulting deepens existing customer relationships through planning and execution-related activities and analysis. In short, we provide insights on their complex supply chains in an evolving environment that has reached a new tipping point in terms of cost to serve and supply chain trade-offs.”
Transplace manages $2.75 billion in freight, giving it an accurate and current database of present lane costs and capacity available in the market, combined with analytical skills sets and software to understand supply chain challenges and opportunities, the company said.
