The third webcast in the series, "Safety and the Bottom Line," presented by Fleet Owner and the Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA), was attended by fleets across the U.S. and Canada on May 5 and is now available for viewing online at no charge as are the other webcasts in the series.

Called "Drivers and Safety Technologies," the free online seminar was sponsored by Cadec (www.cadec.com) and featured James H. Cundey, a vp at the Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. and Jay Blobner, safety director for Stagecoach Cartage and Distribution, LP assisted by Manny Roman, a safety manager for Stagecoach.

The speakers shared details about their organizations’ deployment of various safety technologies including roll stability systems, lane departure warning systems, back-up alarms and tire pressure monitoring systems as well as onboard computer systems for driver performance monitoring. Throughout, the focus was on pushing safety to new levels by blending advanced technologies with successful driver programs and training.

"Drivers and Safety Technologies" is available for viewing online at FleetOwner.com or the TCA website (www.truckload.org).

The other two installments were:
