Alcoa Wheel and Forged Products is rolling out a new family of wheels called Alcoa Classics this fall to replace its current standard round hand hole aluminum wheel offering for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

Production for most mounting styles of the new wheels begins in October.

Alcoa Classics feature a concave face that the maker says provides a unique look and enhances the wheel’s polished and shiny appearance. In addition, the load rating has been increased to 7,400 lbs. The new wheels also provide increased valve clearance, making them fully compatible with disc brake packages, said Alcoa. They are available with Alcoa’s exclusive Dura-Bright wheel surface treatment.

“We’re confident that drivers and fleets will embrace the improvements and sleek design of Alcoa Classics, and that they will perform to the same high standards that Alcoa customers have experienced for decades,” said Merrick Murphy, Alcoa market manager.
