Temp Exec Takes Helm at L.A. Port

Bruce Seaton has been appointed interim executive director for the Port of Los Angeles while a search is being conducted for a full-time replacement following the resignation of Larry Keller on September 17.

Seaton, who has served as the port’s chief operating officer since December 1998, will now oversee the day-to-day operations and internal management.

A 25-year veteran at the Port of Los Angeles, Seaton rose through the engineering ranks, becoming chief harbor engineer and director of construction management before being tapped for the COO position.
