ATA seeks nominations for trucking-image award

Aug. 26, 2013

The American Trucking Assns. (ATA) is seeking nominations for the seventh annual Mike Russell “Good stuff” Trucking Image Award. The award is sponsored by TMW Systems.

The award, first presented in 2006, honors trucking companies, state associations and allied companies that have creatively generated positive awareness of the trucking industry.

“It is important to highlight trucking’s role as the backbone of the American economy,” said Bill Graves, ATA’s president & CEO.

“Our industry is not only essential, but safe and sustainable,” he added. “We are looking forward to this year’s nominations and recognizing those that promote our image year round.”

Submissions will be evaluated by an impartial panel of judges based on creativity, execution and reach/impact.

All submissions must be submitted to the image campaign by Sept. 23.

Winners will be announced in October during ATA’s annual Management Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla.

“For the trucking industry, the only constant seems to be change,” noted David Wangler, president & CEO of TMW Systems. “It’s an honor to celebrate the resilience, ingenuity, creativity and professional pride that people bring to their work in this industry each day.”
