Lubricant training goes online

Chevron offers lube training

Offering training and technical information for commercial truck technicians, LubricantsUniversity.com www.lubricantsuniversity.com has launched it’s first online course, “Fundamentals of Lubrication,” covering viscosity and lubrication identification systems as well as common wear and friction problems.

Created by ChevronTexaco Products Co., the web site also offers training in the use of refractometers, coolant change-out procedures, infrared thermography and reliability-based maintenance plans, as well as access to articles, tips and other relevant technical data. Additional courses will be added in the near future, according to ChevronTexaco, including training modules on hydraulics, industrial greases, gear oils, bearing lubrication and oil analysis.

The site’s first course is being offered free of charge for a limited time.
