According to Chevron Products Company, its new PurEscape Performance Optimizer additive is designed to boost the power of gasoline engines without impacting fuel economy.
PurEscape’s synthetic formulation enhances gasoline combustion for a smoother running engine with immediate improvement in vehicle responsiveness, said Alison Townley, business manager-consumer products marketing in North America for Chevron.
“The formula acts as a catalyst to improve the combustion properties of gasoline through reduced ignition and fuel burning times,” Townley said. “This improves the utilization of energy released during combustion, resulting in higher average peak pressures and improved quality of the average combustion cycle.”
Chevron said the product is suitable for all gasoline fuel grades and all 4-stroke gasoline vehicle types. It does not affect gasoline octane ratings or alter the engine’s octane requirements and can be used with all engine systems components. The product goes on the market next month in 12-ounce containers, which each treat up to 20 gallons of gasoline.
