Global delivery and logistics firm DHL has redesigned its web site for the U.S. market (www.dhl-usa.com) to make online shipping tools more convenient, speedy and easy-to-use for customers.

“We listened to customers of all sizes, but particularly small and medium-sized business owners and worked with them to develop an online platform that provides seamless access to our express shipping and logistics services with even greater ease and fewer clicks,” said John Pearson, DHL’s executive vp-commercial.

He noted extensive customer research involving both domestic and international online shippers provided DHL with critical input on customer needs, priorities and preferences, as well as insight into their ideal online shipping experience. DHL customers were involved throughout the development process, including live tests of a number of prototype designs and functionalities, Pearson added.

The result is a clutter-free site with enhanced navigation and rapid access to functions most frequently used by customers. Also, registered users will now benefit from enhanced personalization and customization of their home page after log in, including an online “address book” with frequently used shipping addresses.
