Caterpillar Inc. has reorganized its truck engine operation and renamed it the Caterpillar On-Highway Engine Div.

As part of the reorganization, Cat has named two managers, Larry Dick and Steve Brown, to head up the truck business’s field operations, which have been split into an east and west division “to bring decision-making even closer to the customer,” the company said.

What’s more, Cat said it’s added a number of new field rep positions to help serve customers and truck dealerships.

Other appointments announced include Chuck Avery as manager of the new Bus and Specialty Vehicle Group within the On-Highway Engine Div. This group will sell and support engines for buses, RVs, and fire and emergency trucks.

“With new technology for meeting ever-stricter emissions regulations on the horizon,” noted Sarah Anderson, gm of the On-Highway Engine Div., “it’s important to continue providing the hands-on, one-to-one service that users and dealers are accustomed to receiving from Cat.”
