Martin W. Larson has been appointed senior vp of sales and marketing of Consolidated Freightways, the long-haul specialist announced today. In his new position, Larson will direct all marketing and sales strategy, sales support, customer service and pricing activities for CF. He will continue to oversee the company's customer-focused e-commerce strategy.
Previously, Larson was vp of e-commerce and chief information officer. He began his career at CF in 1982 as a sales executive with the company's air freight division. He managed terminal operations and field sales for CF at hub locations and in 1991 joined CF's corporate IT group to manage strategic customer support.
Larson replaces Patrick Brady, who left the company in August.
