The students were recognized for their academic achievement and extracurricular activities. Annual scholarships awarded for the 2003-2004 school year total $188,250, including $128,250 for renewal awards. Over the past 12 years, CNF has awarded nearly $2.1 million in scholarships to 730 students.

Recipients of the awards are selected by the independent Citizens Scholarship Foundation of America, a national nonprofit student aid service organization.

Students who have a parent employed by a CNF company are eligible to apply after the parent’s third year of continuous employment. Awards may be renewed for as many as three years until a bachelor’s degree is earned.

“The young people who have been awarded a CNF scholarship have demonstrated a strong commitment to their education and we are proud of their accomplishments. It is our pleasure to give back to our employees and our communities in this manner,” said Gregory L. Quesnel, president and chief executive officer of CNF.
