Featherlite loses money

Featherlite Inc. today reported a consolidated net loss of $676,000 for the first quarter on revenues of $41.7 million. The trailermaker said the loss was caused in large part by reduced gross profit due to lower net sales in the first quarter. Featherlite had a profit of $1.1 million on net sales of $60.6 million in the first quarter of 2002.
