GeoLogistics Names Director of Information Technology

GeoLogistics Corp. has announced the appointment of Richard Szirbik to the position of Director of Information Technology (IT). Szirbik is a 20-year veteran in the IT field with a strong emphasis in supply chain management, e-commerce and warehouse management systems. Szirbik previously held the position of Director of IT for GeoLogistics Americas, Western Region. Prior to joining GeoLogistics in
GeoLogistics Corp. has announced the appointment of Richard Szirbik to the position of Director of Information Technology (IT).

Szirbik is a 20-year veteran in the IT field with a strong emphasis in supply chain management, e-commerce and warehouse management systems. Szirbik previously held the position of Director of IT for GeoLogistics Americas, Western Region.

Prior to joining GeoLogistics in January 2000, Szirbik was director of IT for USF Worldwide Inc., a subsidiary of USFreightways.

"Richard Szirbik will play a major role in the ongoing global development and implementation of GeoLogistics IT and e-commerce programs," said Shar Javad, senior vp and Chief Information Officer at GeoLogistics.

Szirbik will be responsible for EDI (electronic data interchange) and other electronic communication, warehouse systems, as well as IT support and implementation for GeoLogistics operations within the Americas region, which encompasses North and South America.
