Hendrickson Shrinks Lift Axle

Hendrickson has introduced a lighter-duty, 9,000-lb-capacity product to its Composilite line of lift axles for truck and trailer applications. New features include a 2½-in. drop axle that provides the ability to use 19.5-in. tires and an aluminum cross member that contributes to a lighter system weight (720 lb.). The suspension is designed with aluminum hangers, with steel hangers available optionally.

Hendrickson has introduced a lighter-duty, 9,000-lb-capacity product to its Composilite line of lift axles for truck and trailer applications.

New features include a 2½-in. drop axle that provides the ability to use 19.5-in. tires and an aluminum cross member that contributes to a lighter system weight (720 lb.). The suspension is designed with aluminum hangers, with steel hangers available optionally.

Other features include:

  • in-line air spring design to provide maximized packaging space

  • parallel aluminum beams that contribute to proper wheel tracking and increased tire life

  • parallel lift plates for longer air spring life

  • cover to protect the stabilizer rod from dirt and debris

  • 28° wheel cut

  • 15-x4-in. brakes
