Hickerson joins Roadway group
Roadway Corp. announced today that John T. Hickerson will be joining the company January 19 as president of its wholly owned subsidiary, Roadway Next Day Corp.

Hickerson will be responsible for Roadway's next-day business, including overseeing New Penn Motor Express and executing Roadway's strategy of expanding its next-day service.

"John's leadership and extensive experience in the regional and next-day business will serve us well as we expand our next-day network," said Mike Wickham, chairman & CEO of Roadway Corp.

Hickerson joins Roadway from Con-Way Transportation Services, where he served as president & CEO of Con-Way Southern Express since 1995. He is replacing Ken Leedy, who is retiring May 31, but will stay on as as chairman of New Penn Motor Express until then.
