Tri-State Kenworth of Enfield, CT was named 2003 Kenworth “Dealer of the Year” during the recent annual Kenworth dealer meeting held in Phoenix.

Tri-State Kenworth was chosen among five other Gold Award winners. These include: Bay Area and Sacramento Kenworth (Oakland and Sacramento); Long Island Kenworth/Gabrielli Kenworth (Jamaica, the Bronx, Hicksville, and Medford, NY); MHC Kenworth (Kansas City); and Edmonton Kenworth (Edmonton, AL).

The award recognizes the top-performing Kenworth dealership based on criteria that includes customer service and after-sales support.

“Tri-State Kenworth is a very competitive dealer in the busy Northeast market, providing outstanding customer service, facilities and technology,” said Bob Christensen. Kenworth general manager and Paccar vp.

MHC Kenworth Texas won the Kenworth “Medium Duty Dealer of the Year” award for 2003. The dealership achieved a seven-fold increase in Kenworth T300 sales in its 2003 fiscal year, compared with 2000.

“We felt the medium-duty market in Texas had been under-served. We converted a building to a medium-duty maintenance facility, with five service bays and five technicians, so customers didn’t have to wait for service,” said Dan Stevens, MCH Kenworth senior vp.
