XTL operates a fleet of 451 power units and 1,210 dry vans and caters to pulp and paper, consumer grocery, retail and chemical industries. The carrier said it would initially use OptiYield to manage route selection and fuel stops for 180 of its vehicles.

Burlington, MA-based Logistics.com added that OptiYield is designed to consider multiple factors such as fuel prices, driver amenities, out-of-route miles, state taxes, miles on toll roads and on-time deliveries when determining optimum routes.
