The tires will be used on four different vehicles that provide off-road mobility and maneuverability for U.S. soldiers and equipment around the globe.

“It is gratifying for Michelin to be able to keep our servicemen and women on the go in their missions around the globe," said Michelin America’s Truck Tires vp of marketing Randy Clark. "We appreciate this continued vote of confidence from the military, and we are committed to providing the best possible tires for America’s troops in the field."

The XZL uses a tubeless radial construction and will be used on the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck, the Heavy Equipment Transport and the Palletized Load System for the U.S. Army and the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement for the U.S. Marines.
