American Airlines' air cargo division has introduced an Internet-based system to track air cargo shipments across all freight-carrying modes.

AACargoPlus.com, powered by Integres Global Logistics, is designed as an "electronic distribution channel" for air freight shippers who want to arrange pickup and delivery services through one provider.

The website provides a range of shipment delivery options using Integres' routing engine and network of service providers on the ground and in the air. "AACargoPlus.com fills a niche in our Internet portfolio for companies with end-to-end air freight needs," said Richard Denhart, marketing and communications manager for American Airlines Cargo, based in Ft. Worth, TX. "Because customers want the Internet to make their transportation processes more efficient, we will continue to enhance our electronic distribution channel offerings to better serve their needs."
