New features from Peterbilt

Peterbilt Motors Co. recently announced new features that can be installed as original equipment on its trucks. Motorized side mirrors are now available for order on Peterbilt's low-cab-forward Model 320. Motorized side mirrors are now available for order on Peterbilt's low-cab-forward Model 320. The heated units feature a flat glass mirror capable of moving in four directions, and a smaller convex mirror that is capable of rotating outward.

The mirrors are manipulated by a centrally located control that is convenient to operate from any cab configuration.

Lightweight, severe-service Alcoa aluminum wheels are now available for Peterbilt vehicles spec'd for vocational applications.

The wheels are available in 8.25 in. x 22.5 in. and 8.25 in. x 24.5 in. sizes and are rated at 8,000 lbs., allowing for a front axle weight rating of 16,000 lbs.
