SCS Transportation Inc., the parent company of truckload carriers Saia and Jevic, have reported revenues of $208.3 million in the second quarter, up 6% from the prior-year period.
Revenue at Saia was $133.1 million in the quarter, compared with $124.0 million a year earlier.
At Jevic, second-quarter revenue was $75.1 million, versus $72.5 million a year earlier.
"Jevic was challenged to control costs and meet service levels in the midst of a shortage of drivers, which hampered results," SCS president Bert Trucksess said.
