Roadway Presents Nine Scholarships

Roadway Express, Inc. has awarded college scholarships to nine high school students, all of who are children of Roadway employees. Winners were chosen based on test scores, academic record, leadership and extracurricular accomplishments. The scholarships have a value of $5,000 per year for up to four years. The recipients are: Emily C. Gang, Rock Island High School, Rock Island, IL, Galen J. Roush

Roadway Express, Inc. has awarded college scholarships to nine high school students, all of who are children of Roadway employees.

  • Emily C. Gang, Rock Island High School, Rock Island, IL, Galen J. Roush Memorial Merit Scholarship

  • Beverly M. Nagel, Lake Central High School, St. John, IN, J. Thomas Topping Memorial Scholarship

  • Devin W. Sprague, Long Beach High School, Lido Beach, NY, Roadway Express, Inc. Scholarship

  • Donald T. Struckle, Pocono Mountain East High School, Swiftwater, PA, Roadway Express, Inc. Scholarship

  • Christopher A. Baratta, High Point Central High School, High Point, NC, GAR Foundation Scholarship

  • Daniel J. Coerper, Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School, Flossmoor, IL, GAR Foundation Scholarship

  • Lindsey A. Jackson, Larry Ryle High School, Union, KY, GAR Foundation Scholarship

  • Loren H. Kleimeyer, McIntosh High School, Peachtree City, GA, GAR Foundation Scholarship

  • Amy F. Hoffmann, Walsh Jesuit High School, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, GAR Foundation Scholarship

The GAR Foundation was established in 1967 by the Galen Roush family in honor of Roadway Express co-founder Galen Roush.
