Schneider Logistics has announced availability of an Hours-of-Service (HOS) training program designed to help carriers prepare their drivers and internal employees for the new HOS regulations, which go into effect on Jan. 4, 2004.
These materials can be purchased from Schneider Logistics and customized by carriers to meet the needs of their own drivers and support personnel, company officials said. Using similar materials, Schneider National already has trained more than 8,500 of its own drivers using this program and will continue training throughout the year.
The new HOS regulation does not mandate training programs.
