Tiffany was expected to make it home before Christmas Day to Weldon, California to live with the murdered man’s mother Nita Williams. Williams shared the home with his mother and father before his death. Mrs. Williams said her son and the dog were constant companions and went everywhere together.

Authorities learned the dog's address because she was wearing a tag, Animal Welfare officials said.

Williams, who family members say had worked as a truck driver, was in his car when he was found dead at the Pilot Truck Stop in Oklahoma City, December 13 at 6 a.m. Police arrested and charged with murder Julie Ann Pacheco, 35. It was not made public if Williams and Pacheco knew each other.
