USF subsidiary opens California terminal

USF Bestway has opened a 25-acre, 167 loading door facility in Fontana, CA. The new building represents a 400% increase in loading doors and a 500% increase in yard space over the facility it replaced. The terminal will focus on freight needs in the Los Angeles basin, a routing crossroads for 62% of USF Bestway's customers, the carrier said. The terminal will focus on freight needs in the Los Angeles basin, a routing crossroads for 62% of USF Bestway's customers, the carrier said. President Gary Beggs added that the Fontana facility would allow the company to provide earlier next-day service and faster regional and national service for shippers.
