Xcalibur purchase finalized

Transportation Logistics International (TLI) has finalized the acquisition of Xcalibur Xpress, a Charleston, SC-based provider of intermodal, warehousing and third party logistics. Transportation Logistics International (TLI) has finalized the acquisition of Xcalibur Xpress, a Charleston, SC-based provider of intermodal, warehousing and third party logistics.

East Orange, NJ-based TLI said that Xcalibur also operates satellite terminals in Savannah, GA, and Newark, NJ, both of which have opened in the last 10 days. Plans call for the opening of additional terminals in Charlotte, Atlanta and Jacksonville before year end.

Founded in 1996, Xcalibur is the fourth largest trucking company in the city of Charleston. Revenue for 2001 exceeded $6.5 million and TLI projects Xcalibur's revenue will exceed $8 million for this year and $20 million by 2003. TLI added that Rick Kelly, Xcalibur's founder, will continue to serve as the company's president.
