Freightliner's Coronado now offering 625-hp engine option

Freightliner announced today the immediate availability of two new high-horsepower ratings for its flagship Coronado heavy-duty truck. The Caterpillar C15 engine comes in ratings of 625-hp @ 2,050 lb.-ft. torque and 600 hp @ 1,850 lb.-ft. torque at 2,100 rpm as optional equipment in the Coronado.

The C15 engine is certified and compliant to the Environmental Protection Agency’s 2004 standards.

“It’s a great component option for our Coronado, a favorite among North American owner-operators for its ability to handle the toughest jobs and heaviest loads with superior ride and handling, unique styling, and outstanding customer support,” said Mark Lampert, Freightliner’s sr. vp of sales & marketing.
