Landstar taps NY lawyer for VP

Jacksonville, FL-based truckload carrier Landstar System has appointed Michael Kneller, a NY-based lawyer, to be its vp, general counsel and secretary – replacing Dennis Owen, who is stepping down to pursue other interests, the company said

Jacksonville, FL-based truckload carrier Landstar System has appointed Michael Kneller, a NY-based lawyer, to be its vp, general counsel and secretary – replacing Dennis Owen, who is stepping down to pursue other interests, the company said.

Kneller reports directly to Landstar President and CEO Henry Gerkens and is responsible for all of the company’s legal matters, as well as its human resources and corporate communications functions.

. Kneller formerly worked for the New York law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and is relocating to Jacksonville to take this executive position.
