DALLAS. Mack Trucks announced the addition of a DayCab and a 70-in. Mid-Rise to its Rawhide edition trucks at the Great American Trucking Show. The original Rawhide, a 60-in. Mid-Rise configuration, was introduced earlier this year.

Mack describes the Rawhide as a “premium version of the Mack CH model, aimed at local and regional haulers.” All Rawhide vehicles feature Mack’s Advantage highway chassis, with application-specific frame rail options, wheel-cuts of up to 50 degrees, and “exceptional ride and handling.”

With an emphasis on styling, most of the truck’s exterior components are chrome or stainless steel. Inside, there’s a wood grain dashboard and a wood grain and chrome steering wheel. In addition, soundproofing has been designed to create a comfortable driving environment.

Mack’s venerable Bulldog mascot also made an appearance in Dallas, in the form of a booklet of photos highlighting his “Reality TV” experience. Those who missed the show will be able to look at the photos online and vote for their favorite by visiting the OEM’s web site, www.macktrucks.com.
