DAT introduces Load Recommendations in DAT One to speed freight matching

The feature surfaces a curated set of loads based on a carrier’s truck, lanes, and operating preferences.

Key takeaways

  • DAT One now surfaces curated loads matching carrier equipment, lanes, and preferences for faster freight selection.
  • Recommendations reduce manual searching, helping carriers spend less time filtering loads.
  • Load suggestions improve over time as the app learns user behavior, while still allowing full traditional search access.

DAT Freight & Analytics recently introduced Load Recommendations, a new feature in the DAT One mobile app designed to help carriers find suitable freight faster. The company, which operates a digital freight marketplace and mobile app for carriers and shippers, built the feature to reduce time spent manually searching for loads.

Instead of relying on manual filters and scrolling through listings, carriers are presented with a curated set of loads as soon as they open the app. These recommendations are based on equipment types, preferred lanes, and past search and engagement behavior within DAT One.

Load Recommendations continuously refresh and become more tailored as carriers use the platform more frequently, aligning freight options with their operating patterns. Carriers can still access traditional search tools within DAT One at any time to evaluate additional options beyond the recommendations.

“Finding the right load takes time, and for carriers, that time is unpaid,” said Bill Driegert, EVP at DAT. “Load Recommendations now brings their most desirable loads to them quickly, so carriers can spend less time hunting and more time hauling.”
