Schneider Promotes Steve Matheys to chief marketing officer

Green Bay, WI-based truckload carrier Schneider National has promoted Steve Matheys to the new role of chief marketing officer (CMO). In this role, Schneider said Matheys would be responsible for ensuring Schneider's customers receive the full benefit of its experience and array of services.

Most recently Schneider’s chief information officer, Matheys has been with Schneider for more than 10 years and reports directly to Chris Lofgren, president & CEO. Matheys also spent eight years with the Nielsen Marketing Research and five years with the Trane Company.

Lofgren added that a recent study Schneider conducted found that shippers are more frequently requiring transportation and logistics providers to bundle multiple services to meet their increasingly complex needs. That’s why a stronger alignment between Schneider’s specific services and sales channels – Matheys responsibility – is critical to meeting this market requirement, he said.
