Schneider inks Wal-Mart warehousing deal

Schneider Logistics, Inc., a Schneider National company, today has announced its American Port Services subsidiary has signed a warehousing contract with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Schneider Logistics, Inc., a Schneider National company, today has announced its American Port Services subsidiary has signed a warehousing contract with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Under the contract, American Port Services will provide the retail giant with full operating services in their 3.4 million sq. ft. of warehousing space to create a new import distribution center in Elwood, IL.

This arrangement will support Wal-Mart’s import operations flowing from West Coast ports by rail to the Greater Chicago area. Products shipped via that corridor are en route to Wal-Mart distribution centers and stores throughout the Midwest.
