Management software developer TMW Systems Inc. has announced the appointment of David W. Wangler to president & CEO, succeeding Ken Thompson, who will retire. Thompson will continue to serve as a member of TMW’s board of directors.

Wangler most recently served as president & CEO of SupplyWorks Inc., where he oversaw the development of the internet company into an on-demand enterprise applications business. He has also held executive positions in global sales and marketing for a variety of supply chain and logistics software providers, including Baan (SSA Global), SKYVA International and the Wonderware Corp.

“David has the management skills and vision to lead the company,” said Tom Weisz, chairman. “He can help us to determine how TMW can best expand our participation in the logistics and supply chain arena.”
