Maddocks Systems, Inc. held its 13th TruckMate User Conference early October in Tucson, AZ: “Partners in Transportation Technology,” featuring TruckMate for Windows 7.0 along with presentations by Maddocks president & CEO, Robert (Bob) Maddocks and keynote speaker Lee Clair of Northbridge, Inc.
Maddocks, touched on a variety of technologies at different stages of “maturity,” including seamless information monitoring, the growth of web services, the impact of RFID, identity management systems and location sensing technologies.
“We need to use technology to differentiate ourselves, to give us the competitive edge, to lead instead of follow,” he observed. “Early adopters of technology often receive [the] benefits of gaining market share, whereas those that sit on the sidelines and wait for the ‘Plateau of Productivity’ simply enjoy the efficiency gains.”
According to the company, more than 500 people attended, including representatives from 155 U.S. and Canadian carriers.
The company’s 2006 User’s Conference is planned for October 1-4 in Savannah, Georgia. More information about the 2005 and 2006 events is available at www.maddockssystems.com.
