WebTech Wireless announced the release of Quadrant 7.0, the latest version of its Quadrant wireless fleet management services, at the International Trucking Show (ITS) in Anaheim, CA on Sept. 7.
The new version adds automated driver logs and driver performance monitoring to the GPS- and cellular-based wireless vehicle services system, which also provides a wide range of other fleet management tools, including vehicle tracking; mapping; geofencing; fleet location and vehicle usage reporting; maintenance management; driver status; driver security in the form of a panic button and/or ignition disabling function; fuel tax reporting and schedule adherence reporting; plus in-cab messaging and internet connectivity.
According to the company, the new automated driver log function is designed to provide users with the ability to electronically track hours of service information in compliance with U.S. and Canadian Department of Transportation regulations, including automatic status change functionality, through direct vehicle integration. The driver performance monitoring function is designed to provide data on a driver’s handling of the vehicle--including speeding, hard braking or excessive idling—to help fleets enhance safety and reduce costs.
Headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia, WebTech Wireless develops, manufactures and delivers turnkey, wireless location-based and telematics services.
