Reefer Service exemplified the 2007 dealer meeting's theme of "The New Role Models." "They demonstrate the commitment, passion, focus and unyielding desire to satisfy their customers," said Joe Porto, director of sales for Carrier Transicold.

Founded in 1982, Reefer Service has been a Carrier Transicold dealer for 16 years.

"It's just too cool!" said John VanderWal, Reefer Service president, about winning the award. "We have 22 employees, and everyone is very excited. It's overwhelming, really."

With its 25th anniversary this month, Reefer Service plans to make the Dealer of the Year recognition a focal point of its celebration, VanderWal added. Reefer Service also achieved a NextLevel Perfect Score award - a prerequisite to winning Dealer of the Year, a Quota Buster and a Triple-Double for achieving double-digit growth in three key areas.

Carrier also recognized Techtrade C.A. of Valencia, Venezuela, as its Latin American Dealer of the Year. Techtrade, led by Gerardo Santos, also received a NextLevel Perfect Score award and a Double-Double for achieving double-digit growth in two areas.

In all, 42 firms and three individuals from Carrier's North American and Latin American dealer networks were recognized for sales performance, significant investments in facilities, outstanding service and achievement of business objectives.
